MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 4) Donald  and the boys finished third in the Southern Nationals’ point race for 2015. In the final three races of this years nine race series, Rome was rained out and not rescheduled, they scored a fourth at Tri-County, an eighth at Smoky Mountain and a third at Tazewell.

Although they didn’t win the championship there was a lot of positive things to take away from the nine race series. Crew chief David Bryant would give the overall grade of a C+ or a B- for the nine-race grind.

“When you step back and look at what we accomplished in the series you will see that it wasn’t all bad. Our qualifying was way better with two fast qualifying awards and one new track record. Donald won his first Southern Nationals feature and we were the only chassis other than Longhorn to win a race,” said David. “Most importantly we picked up a ton of experience. Donald ran better at a number of tracks and you know they are tracks where we will be racing in the future.

In the past we have run better after the Southern Nationals and come on strong as the season winds down. Lets see it that happens again this year.”

The next race will be Clash event at Volunteer Speedway on Saturday night.
