SEYMOUR, Tenn. (Dec. 28) The Hangover Race will be entering its 11th year with the 2021 edition on January 1 & 2. In the past ten races, all have been nothing short of exciting racing action. Defending winner Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga. has now won the race four times.

Promoter Mitch McCarter will be upping the ante this year as a $5,000 winners prize will be the highest paid for the annual New Year’s event. The race, since 2015 has paid $4,000 for the Super Late Model champion. The race is more than just another “race” it’s become an annual tradition and “event” known nationwide.

Since its inception in 2011, there have been seven different winners in the ten previous Hangover races. A total of 129 different drivers have made the Hangover feature in the last ten races.  

The 2021 Hangover Race at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tenn. kicks off on December 31, 2020 with hauler parking and an afternoon open practice. On Friday January 1, 2021 there will be seven divisions in action. The 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Sportsman Late Models, B-Hobby/Super Streets, Front Wheel Drives and Classic cars will all be racing. On Saturday January 2, a full show for the Super Late Models racing for $5,000-to-win, Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,200-to-win, 604 Late Models will race for $1,500-to-win, Sportsman Late Models will race for $800-to-win while the 602 Late Models will race for $1,000-to-win.
