MARYVILLE, Tenn. (July 21) The 10th place finish Tuesday night at I-75 Raceway was the last straw for the Blount Motorsports Team as they waved the white flag and parked the 2021 Rocket.

Donald McIntosh qualified eighth and went backwards as the new car continued to defy any form of adjustment.

“We can’t even line up with this car let alone race,” said David Bryant. “I have never had a car I couldn’t figure out. This one is the first and I am done with it. We have had all of this excitement we can stand.”

Before the four Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals races in Georgia starting on Thursday Bryant is thrashing to come up with something they can race.

“We are taking the engine out of this car, a rear end out of another car and putting them in Kerr’s car to see if we can get something going. See if we can get something for Donald to race. We are making some big changes and will see how that turns out and then see which direction we want to go,” concluded Bryant.

The first of the four Georgia races is at West Georgia Speedway on Thursday, Needmore Speedway on Friday, Screven Motor Speedway on Saturday and Rome Speedway on Sunday.
