MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 10) Coming off his third Southern All Star win of the season at Tazewell Speedway Billy ran a strong second in the SAS Crimson & White “50” at Green Valley Speedway Saturday night On his second trip to the North Alabama clay oval, Ogle qualified eight and hustled the Blount Motorsports entry to a second place finish.
“This is the second time we have raced at Green Valley and the track was really different tonight than it had been the first time we were here,” said David Bryant. “I don’t know exactly what happened in qualifying, but we started eighth again. When the race got going Billy did a good job of getting the car to the front, but we really need to be better in qualifying.
We had a good car, but Josh Putnam’s car was just a little bit better.”
The next event for the Bount Motorsport Team is the Friday the 13th SRRS Ole Smoky Moonshine Classic at Smoky Mountain Speedway. Billy and Tommy will be racing. If everything goes well Billy and the team will load up Saturday morning and head for the Georgia State Championships sanctioned by the Ultimate Super Late Model Series at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA.
