MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 28) Racing in Arizona, racing in Florida it is time to get going in the Southeast. Excitement is in the air at Blount Motorsports as it is time to start a new racing season.
The inconsistent, exasperating and downright frustrating 2020 that ended with David Bryant getting the Coronavirus and missing The Hangover is in the rear view. It is time to start fresh again with the Iron-Man event at Boyd’s Speedway this Saturday January 30th.
“Not the way I wanted to end the year, but you could look at it as a fitting way to finish up 2020,” said David. “It was a couple rough weeks for the wife and I, but we are fully recovered and ready to go.”
BMS has sold the car that Tommy was driving and will pick up a new Rocket XR1 following the SAS race at Screven the first week of February.
“Rocket Chassis has been good for us and we have enjoyed working with Mark Richards and Steve Baker over the years,” said Larry. We have been fortunate to have good sponsorship over the years with Stowers Cat, Blount Excavating, Massey Electric, Old Ben Franklin Motors and Wine and Spirits all back for the new season.”
Contingency sponsors are another import part of any race team and Blount Motorsports is no exception. BMS has some of the best, most loyal and long-term contingency sponsors in the business.

Since switching to Vic Hill Racing Engines in 2013 Blount Motorsport’s engine program has been one of the most solid parts of the team.
“Vic is really building a great engine with plenty of power,” said Donald . “Power is just one of many components in a good engine and Vic checks all the boxes with his engines. They are a pleasure to drive.
