After a very successful 16 year run as a regional super late model series, the Carolina Clash Super Late Model series embarks on a milestone – the farthest west venue ever visited. Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee will host a $5000 show this Saturday night, a track that many Clash regulars have wanted added to the tour.

“We are very happy with the decision of Smoky Mountain and their promotions staff to give the Clash a chance to race with them. They are very generous in giving all regional racing programs (Ray Cook, Southern All-Stars, etc.) an opportunity to perform at their venue and we are very happy to be a part of that list,” said Larry Lee of the Carolina Clash.

The event dubbed as the Clash on the Mountain” is sponsored by Fire-Ade 2000. More information about FireAde2000 can be found at http://www.fireade.com

This will mark the farthest western venue on the Carolina Clash tour, which stretches from Fayetteville, NC to Screven Georgia, as far north as Wytheville, VA and now west to Maryville, located just east of the Tennessee metro of Knoxville.

Teams traveling to Smoky Mountain can expect a very well-timed show are are asked to be at the track well in advance of the driver’s meeting.
