MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Jan.2) Casey in his second race behind the wheel of the Blount Motorsports/Old Ben Franklin Used Cars Rocket notched a third place finish in the Iron-Man Hangover event at 411 Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon.

Casey qualified second in the second group, started fourth on the grid and came up short when challenging for the lead on lap 30. When the checkered flew he crossed the finish line third.

“We had a really good race car and you hate not to win when the car is that good, but things happen,” said Casey. “Not making excuses, but we had a water leak under the hood and it was blowing back on my face shield. When I ran out of tear offs I tried to wipe the shield and all I did was smear it. Never had that happen before, but not being able to see well was interesting.”

“When Casey was challenging for the lead he came up a little bit short and almost spun the car, but was able to gather it up and continue,” said David Bryant. “We had a good race car and Casey did a good job, but we came up just a little bit short.”

The Team will head for Talladega Short Track and the Ice Bowl this coming weekend. Then they head to Georgia for the Lucas Oil races at Golden Isles Speedway  starting on February 2.
