MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 13) Following the last race of the season, The WoO World Finals at Lowes, Blount Motorsports crew chief Gary Winger left the team so he could spend more time on his business, GW Performance.
“Gary came to me a month or so ago and said that at the end of the season he needed to be able to spend more time with his business,” said one of the team’s owner Larry Garner. “Gary has been with us over a year and has really helped the team. As much as we hate to see him go we understand why and wish him all the best with his business endeavors.
Blount Motorsports will continue to benefit from Winger’s knowledge and experience, as he will continue to take care of their shock program and consult with the team.
“Blount Motorsports is a first class operation and it was a great opportunity that I really hated to leave. But it had gotten to the point where the business I had been building for the last five years had gotten so big that I was not doing it or Blount Motorsports justice,” said Winger. “I had to pick between the two and GW Performance was the one I chose.”
Blount Motorsports is actively seeking a new crew chief to replace Winger. Anyone interested in applying for the position can fax their resume to 865-984-4442, mail it to Blount Motorsports 2622 Hill Court, Maryville, TN 37803 or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org/
