MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 22) Casey and the Blount Motorsports Team had a decent weekend at Senoia Raceway with a sixth place finish on Friday night and a third place finish Saturday night in the back-to-back SNBS races.
On Friday night Casey started ninth and finished sixth.
“Friday night we were not horrible, but we were not that good either,” said David. “We were a mid-pack car and mid-pack is where we started and where we finished. In all fairness to Casey, Senoia is a really nice track, but unless you have a really phenomenal race car you are not going to make up a lot of ground there.”
On Saturday night Roberts started where he finished on Friday, sixth. He would bring the Vic Hill powered Rocket Chassis home third.
“We had a third place car and finished third,” continued David. “I’ll be honest with you the way the top two were racing it looked like they might wreck and we would end up winning the thing.”
As the season continues to wind down the next race for Roberts and the BMS team is another SNBS race at Blue Ridge Motorsports Park on Saturday.
