MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 30) With a ninth place finish at 311 Motor Speedway Donald McIntosh and Blount Motorsports captured the inaugural Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Title. In the process they also picked up the bonus for having the highest combined points in the Schaeffer’s Spring, Summer and Fall Nationals Series.

Starting 11th in the Fall Nationals finale McIntosh ended up finishing ninth in the 60-lap event.

“We were never much good the whole weekend,” said David. “Donald had never been to the track and I hadn’t been here in over 25 years and when you are already searching it makes for a long weekend.

Winning the Fall Nationals Championship and the High Point Championship for all three of the Schaeffer’s Oil Series gives us a nice positive finish to the year, but we have lots of work to do.”

The next two and the last two races of the season will both be of the holiday variety and at 411 Motor Speedway. On November 30 it is the Leftover and on December 28 the 10th Annual Hangover.

Blount Motorsports enjoys sponsorship from Stowers (CAT) Machinery Corp., Blount Excavating, Massey Electric, Turner Hydraulics, Ole Ben Franklin Motors, Walker’s Truck Contractors, Food City, and The Wine and Spirits Cellar.
