MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 3) Donald added a win and a fourth place finish to Blount Motorsports two Fall Nationals wins on the series opening weekend as the team continues to enjoy good results on the new series.

The opening weekend of the Schaeffer’s Fall Nationals series saw Tommy win at Smoky Mountain Speedway followed by Donald winning at North Georgia Speedway. McIntosh backed that up this weekend with another win at Thunderhill Raceway Park and a fourth place finish at Tazewell Speedway.

“We’ve had a stretch where we were running better that it looked. We had four flats when we were running in the top three and that will kill you. Now the car is better, the driver is better and air is staying in all the tires,” grinned Donald. “We ran well in the Southern Nationals race at Thunderhill, but had a flat. This time we dominated and for once everything worked out just like we planned it.”

With the Saturday night win at Thunderhill making BMS the only winners in three Fall Nationals series races the scene shifted to Tazewell Speedway on Sunday. A not so good qualifying run saw Donald start 12thand he ended up finishing fourth.

I’m not sure what happened in qualifying, but we started mid-pack,” said David. “The car was good in the race and Donald was working his way toward the front when the track rubbered up. We settled for a fourth place finish and the car didn’t have a mark on it.

We had a great weekend and using the same set of tires in both races just made it that much better.”

This weekend Donald and Eric are taking Donald’s Buick powered hot rod to Eldora for the World 100 weekend. The following weekend Donald, David and Eric will head to Toccoa Speedway for the fifth Fall Nationals event.
