MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 30) Donald McIntosh and Blount Motorsports closed out the 2019 season with a dominating win of the 10th Annual Hangover at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday night. McIntosh was the fast qualifier in group one, took the lead on the drop of the green and led all 40 laps for the win.

“Ending an up and down season with a good solid weekend and a win will go a long way with what we have planned for BMS in the new season,” said David Bryant. “We are still looking for help at the shop and at the track and will start the season this year at East Bay for the Lucas Oil Series opening week.”

The team has been testing and working on new suspension packages as they try to build more consistency into the program.

“Having a good solid weekend and winning the race was great, but I think the really important thing was the testing. We learned a lot and picked up a lot of ideas, a lot of information all of which will be a big help going forward,” said McIntosh. “I am really excited about the new season and having a solid weekend to finish up the season and launch us into the new season didn’t hurt a thing.”

The one thing that was consistent in 2019 was the Vic Hill engine program.

“We had ups and downs this year, but the engines from Vic Hill were rock solid,” continued Bryant. “Vic is building a lot of horsepower and dependability into his engines and having such a good program with Vic gives us one less thing to worry about.”

BMS will start its 2020 season at East Bay Raceway Park with the Lucas Oil Series competing in the 44th Annual Winternationals from February 2 through February 8.
