MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Apr. 27) Donald piloted the BMS rocket to a fifth-place finish in the third Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals event of the season at Tri-County Race Track Friday night.

Although the car and the finish were better than the two previous outings McIntosh still had his hands full with a too tight race car.

“It’s not the car, it’s not Donald the way we have been running is all on me,” said David. “I am screwing up and over adjusting. I missed the track at Tri-County and we were too tight. This isn’t the first time this has happened and we will work through it. ’ve just got to get my balance and get going.”

Donald doesn’t want David to take all the credit for ill handling race cars.

“It isn’t all David. It is a combination of things. Last year’s car was a great car and now it is a good car. The new car is the problem because no matter what adjustments you make it doesn’t respond,” said Donald. “We need to park one car and concentrate on the other. As much as David dislikes testing a couple test days probably wouldn’t hurt.”

No matter which car or what adjustments are being made the races just keep on coming. There are two Spring Nationals races coming up this weekend with the first at Crossville Speedway on Friday and the second at Clarkesville Speedway on Saturday.
