MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Apr. 5) Donald had a good outing in the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial at the ultrafast high banked oval in Tazewell Tennesse. Driving last year’s car he qualified second in his group, won his heat race, started on the outside front row and finished fifth on the ultrafast high banked oval

“We had a really good car that qualified well, was really good in the heat race and got too tight in the feature,” said David. “After the heats we usually tighten the car up a bit when we go to the hard tires, but the crew chief over adjusted.

It was so good in the heat in this case we should have just left it alone.”

The next race is the weather postponed Spring Nationals event at I-75 Raceway on Saturday night.

“We have had good back-to-back outings with last year’s car and the new car. That makes things look a lot better when we get some better weather and the racing starts to really pick up,” concluded David.

On Saturday April 17, the team will race the SAS Rockin’ with the Stars at Smoky Mountain Speedway.
