MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 3) In his return as the primary driver for Blount Motorsports Donald McIntosh notched a second place finish in the Hangover Event at 411 Motor Speedway.

As Donald went out to qualify he hit a hole and trashed the left rear dummy shock. That put him starting seventh in the B-Main. After finishing third in the B-Main he started 15th on the grid in the feature.

“The track is what you would expect this time of year especially with all the rain we have been having. We started seventh in the B and finished third and never passed a car,” said David. “In the feature Donald started 15th, kept his noise clean, passed a few cars and came away with a great second place finish.”

“Roughest race track I have ever raced on, but it wasn’t because the 411 folks didn’t try. They worked like crazy on the track, but with it being a wet winter there is only so much you can do,” said Donald. “We were able to stay out of trouble, out of the ditches and came home with a good finish all things considered.”

Since Donald came back to Blount Motorsports they have run two races, both at 411 Motor Speedway. The communication between McIntosh and BMS crew chief David Bryant had always been good and continues to be good.

“David and I always communicated well and that didn’t change. Everything feels good and I am really looking forward to getting started at Volusia County in February,” said McIntosh.

“Communication between Donald and I is as good or better than it was and good communication means a good race car. Now if we can get a break from the weather when we get into the season we are good to go,” concluded Bryant.
