MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 7) Starting seventh Donald fell back to eight and then moved up to a fourth place finish in the SNBS Fall Classic at Ponderosa Speedway Saturday night. Donald didn’t qualify as well as he would have liked and the combination of a seventh place starting spot and hard tires made his fourth place finish actually better than it looked.

“Our qualifying run was not all that good and we went with hard tires. The tire choice didn’t work out like we thought it would, but Donald hustled the car to a fourth place finish,” said David. “We are making some good strides with the car and having a better car under him Donald has been able to be more consistent.”

On his way to winning his heat in qualifying for the unsanctioned Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial on Friday night the right rear went flat and tore up a bunch of parts and pieces. Eight laps into the feature the right rear shock bent and the car became undriveable with a slow trip to the pits ending the night. Donald was posted 17th in the final rundown.
