MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 23) Donald scored his seventh win and second Southern Nationals Bonus Series win of the season in his first trip to Blue Ridge Motorsports Park Saturday night.

Donald was second quick in the first round of qualifying and started third on the grid. On a restart after a lap 2 caution Donald would get past Kurt English for second and then five laps later after a side-by-side battle with leader Ray Cook he would take the lead.

“They did a good job on the track. It raced well and Donald, who had never seen the place before, liked it,” said David. “We had a good car, the driver raced well and nothing is tore up. Everything fell into place and we came out with the win. It was a good evening.”

“First time here and it is a pretty racy track. Wasn’t sure if the bottom was going to clean up, but it did and from the start it was working real good,” grinned Donald. “With all the cautions I was wondering if the race was ever going to end, but once they went to single file restarts we were able to get some laps in.”

With the win and only two SNBS races remaining McIntosh tightened his strangle hold on this years SNBS championship. The team will race at Senoia this weekend and the schedule calls for finishing up at Boyd’s Speedway on November 18.
