MARYVILLE, Tenn. (July 17) Donald scored a solid third place finish in the third of eleven Southern Nationals Series events at Smoky Mountain Speedway Tuesday night with teammate Tommy coming home seventh.
Donald was fast qualifier in the second group, started on the outside front row and never ran worse than third where he finished in the feature.
“Car was good, but got a little loose in the race,” said David. “We still haven’t found the balance we have been hunting, but it is getting better. At least we didn’t have a flat tonight.”
Kerr Kerr qualified for the feature finishing second in the consi and started eighth in the feature. He ran as high as fourth before fading late to finish seventh.
“We put a soft right rear on Tommy’s car and rolled the dice,” continued Bryant. “He was running fourth when the tire gave up and that was all she wrote as he ended up seventh.”
The series will head to Georgia for races in four nights. Tonight’s race will be at Toccoa Speedway, Friday Senoia Speedway, Saturday Screven Motor Speedway and Sunday at Rome Speedway.
