MARYVILLE, Tenn. (May 30) BMS had five races on the schedule over the Memorial Weekend and with only one of those, the Spring Nationals race at Dixie Speedway not being rained out, Casey Roberts and the BMS team did a lot of trucking in the rain.
“When it rains like it did this past weekend and like it has for the first part of the season everyone loses,” said David. “The series promoter loses, the track promoter loses, and the teams all lose and so do the fans. It’s a lose/lose situation.”
When Casey and The Boys finally got to race on Saturday night at Dixie Speedway they started ninth and finished sixth for a better showing than the last time they were on the Woodstock, Ga. clay.
“We were better than when we were here a couple weeks ago and that’s positive, but we really need to string some races together so we can find a rhythm and get things going,” said Casey.
We had a pretty good race car. It was a better field of cars and we raced better than our last visit here. We really needed to race all five of those races instead of just this one,” concluded David.
Hoping that the weather will co-operate the team will be heading to 411 Motor Speedway on Friday and Volunteer Speedway on Saturday for a pair of WoO events.
