MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 5) Casey and the Blount Motorsports team’s 2018 WoO World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte was not a great weekend, but it was a good weekend as they made and finished both feature races.
In feature number one Casey qualified well, finished second in the third heat, started 11th and finished 15th. In feature number two he finished second in the second heat, started ninth and finished 12th
“If we would have raced as well in the features as we did in qualifying and the heat races we would have had a better showing,” said David. “Casey did a good job, but in the first feature we were loose and the second feature we were tight and he just couldn’t make any headway.”
With the rain taking it’s toll on the Thursday and Friday portions of the event a lot was pushed to Saturday and it made for a hectic day.
“There is so much going on with the three classes running and everything crammed into one day. You have a lot to do and only a short time to do it,” continue David. “We didn’t embarrass ourselves and didn’t tear anything up. We came away with a whole race car and after the season we have had that is remarkable in itself.”
