MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Jul 25) After getting off to a slow start Donald and the Boys headed to Georgia for three consecutive Southern Nationals races.

The first stop was Swainsboro Raceway where a late afternoon shower wreaked havoc with the race track. Donald started ninth took the lead on lap 30 and was taken out on lap 42 during a restart. He finished eight and there were seven cars running at the end.

“The track was terrible and we were taken out while leading, yeah that just about sums up Swainsboro, Said David while banging out sheet metal. “Donald has been up on the wheel and we have had a lot better car than our finishes have shown.”

The next night at Screven was another forgettable one.

“It seems that we don’t do all that well at tracks like Screven. We were just plain no good there just like we were last year,” continued David. “This year we finished 12th and last year I think we finished 16th.”

The final night of the three race Georgia grind was back in more familiar territory at Rome Speedway. At Rome Donald qualified fifth, started fifth and finished fifth.

“It was one of those nights when nothing much happened, but after the last couple of races that was not really a bad thing. We didn’t tear anything up and will be ready to go at Boyd’s tomorrow night,” concluded Bryant.
