Maryville, Tenn. (Nov. 25) Donald McIntosh won the Turkey Gobble 50 at Boyd’s Speedway to notch his first win with the Blount Motorsports team ending the season with a bang.

Donald, who started on the outside front row of the feature, took the early lead and held off Shane Clanton to earn his first win since taking over as Blount Motorsports’ primary driver when Billy Ogle left the team in September.

“We have had a lot of ups and downs. I have learned a lot and am very blessed to drive for them,” McIntosh said. I can’t thank Larry Garner, David Bryant and the whole Blount Motorsports team enough. I have torn up a bunch of stuff in this car and they still believed in me. I’m glad I could get the win for them.”

Although there have been some rough spots the team has known that they had everything they needed to win and they needed a night like Saturday night when things all came together.

“It was all right there and we knew it. We knew all we needed was a night where everything fell into place and we finally got it,” grinned David. “Donald did a great job, the crew did a great job, the car was good and we ended the season with a win.”

After ending the season on a high note the Blount Motorsports team will start getting ready for 2015, spend some time with family and friends over the holidays and attend the PRI show in Indianapolis. The first race of the 2015 season will be the Hangover at 411 Motor Speedway on January 1.
