MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 17) For the second consecutive year Donald and Blount Motorsports finished second in the Ice Bowl Sunday afternoon at Talladega Short Track.

“It was the most fun I have ever had at an Ice Bowl. It was warm and we were able to spend time with a lot of the racers and fans instead of being huddled in the hauler,” said Donald. “The racing was typical with no passing, but we ran good and it was a lot of fun. Did I mention how warm the weather was?”

Donald was first in the third qualifying group, won the third heat and started third in the feature.

“The car was good, Donald was good and the track and the race is what you would expect in a daytime dirt race,” commented David. “The CT 525 is hard to beat at TST. Page had the right combination, but if we would have had the lead he wouldn’t have passed us either.

This is the second time Donald has finished second at the Ice Bowl and it is the sixth for me. One of these days we will win this thing.”

Blount Motorsports has just added the Cabin Fever 40 at Boyd’s Speedway on January 28 to the schedule and the Speedweeks schedule is shaping up.
