MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 30) Donald McIntosh started fourth and finished third in the Friday night prelim for the 2nd Annual Showdown at Senoia at Senoia Raceway Friday night.

Donald qualified well, lined up fourth on the grid and notched a third place finish in the 30-lap non-sanctioned event.

“We basically had a third place race car and that is where we finished,” said David Bryant. “Wasn’t a whole lot of passing going on and Donald did a good job with the car that was all right, but not great.”

Saturday night’s 10k to win Showdown at Senoia was cancelled due to rain. There is one race left in this years Southern Nationals Bonus Series and that will be at Boyd’s Speedway on November 18.

Between now and the finale at Boyd’s David and the crew are working on getting the new Rocket X1R together so they can shake it down before the next season takes off.

While David and the crew keep working on the BMS Rockets the driver search continues.

“We had over 50 drivers who applied and we have narrowed it down to three. We haven’t decided who will replace Donald in the car next year, but we are getting close to making a final decision,” said team owners Larry and Steve Garner and Tommy Kerr in a joint statement.
