MARYVILLE Tenn. (Jul. 18) Donald qualified the Blount Motorsports entry fourth, took the lead on lap 13 and a caution put him back in second. He caught the leader Bradsher again on lap 28 when the rear end cover came loose.

“It was not a great day to start with, but things were looking up when Donald ran down Bradsher and then the rear end cover came loose” said David. “Normally you change your gears, bolt on the rear end cover, tighten it down and that is it. I have had a problem with new rear end covers before and I should have checked it, but I didn’t and it cost us.

It not only cost us $10,000 but it put us in a big hole for the Southern National Championship points race.”

With the cancellation of the Southern Nationals event the series is back to 10 races with the next at 411 Speedway Tuesday July 19.

“All you can do is put it behind you and get ready for the next race. We will be ready to go for race number two at 411 tomorrow night.” Concluded David.
