MARYVILLE, Tenn. (June 20) Tommy Kerr and the BMS team headed to Volunteer Speedway Saturday night for Fan Appreciation Night. The team set fast time and led the first 11 laps of the 35 lap event that paid $2,000 to win.

“We were good, but Vic (Hill) is hard to beat at Volunteer and he also had a good car,” said Tommy shaking his head. “If we had it to do over again I think we might have made a little different tire choice.”

On Friday night Kerr and the BMS team were at North Georgia Speedway for the Lucas Late Model Dirt Series event. After qualifying 13th out of 53 cars he came up short by two positions in the heat race and three in the consi. Consequently he didn’t make the race.

“We had a good car and qualified well, but could never get a break in either the heat or the consi,” said Tommy. “When the green flag dropped it was like running in quick sand, no matter what we did we didn’t go anywhere.”

This Saturday night the team will race at Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, Ala. in preparation for the Advance Thunder event to be held at the track on July 3.
