MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Jun 8) At Wartburg Friday night for the Iron-Man event it was more of the same with an ill handling car. However this time a brush with the wall in qualifying, some fender bending while battling for the lead, a spin and various other incidents claimed the body and other part of the BMS Rocket.

Donald started fourth on the grid, took second on a lap five restart and was battling for the lead on lap 11 when there was contact and he spun along with the leader.

“Donald and the leader made contact,  both spun and went to the rear,” said David. “There was more contact in the back of the field and before it was all over the whole body was knocked off the car.

With all the goings on it was hard to tell if the car was any better. So who knows. We will get settled down and get back to work trying to figure this thing out.”

“If you race you have to be an optimist and I am, but not as optimistic as Dave when it comes to this car.,” said McIntosh.

This next weekend is an off weekend and then Donald and Tommy will be racing the Southern All Star event at Smoky Mountain on the following weekend.
