MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 7) Billy recorded a pair of second place finishes over the weekend. On Friday night he started sixth at Tri-County Race Track and came home second. On Saturday he started 11th at Dixie Speedway and went on to score his second runner up finish of the weekend.
On Friday night the car had the little motor in it when a bigger motor might have been a better idea.
“We had a good car and a good weekend,” said David. “We went with the smaller motor on Friday night and more horsepower would have helped, but the way Casey (Roberts) is running you don’t really know.”
On Saturday night, after a less than stellar heat race, they started eleventh for the Lucas Oil Dixie Shootout
“Saturday night we shot ourselves in the foot in the heat race and started 11th in the race. After we worked our way to second we were able to take one shot at Madden for the lead, but he had a strong run and we couldn’t make it happen.”
As it stands right now BMS will take the next weekend off with the next race being the Dirt Track World Championship at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio.
