MARYVILLE, Tenn (Apr. 11) Second generation driver Billy Ogle Jr. and Blount Motorsport have signed an agreement that will put Ogle behind the wheel of the BMS #201 Dirt Late Model for the remainder of the 2011 season.

Ogle, who has raced with the team since the beginning of the season, was doing so on a race to race basis. With the agreement signed this past week he will race with teammate Tommy Kerr for the remainder of the season.

“I think that Billy is a great addition to the Blount Motorsports team,” said one of the team’s three owners Larry Garner. “We have great sponsors and fan support and with David (Bryant) and B.J. (Hillman) wrenching the cars and Tommy and Billy doing the driving we are looking forward to a good year.”

Ogle, who has 17 track and series championships to his credit in 30 years of racing, was pleased with the agreement and is looking forward to what the 2011 season has in store for the team.

“Blount Motorsports is a first class team with first class people and top of the line equipment,” commented Ogle. “Driving for BMS will enable me to go to some races and do some racing I haven’t been able to do before. I am really looking forward to the season and I think that it will be a good year for everyone involved.”
