MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 3) Donald’s Friday Night and Saturday night at Clarksville’s Toilet Bowl were mirror images as he qualified fourth and finished third both nights.

Donald and the Blount Motorsports Team debuted the new XR1 Rocket with the new 434 ci Vic Hill Racing Engine and were pleased with the outcome.

“It was good to get back to area tracks where we are more in our element,” said David “The car was good right out of the box and the Vic Hill engine provided plenty of power. It was a good outing and a nice tune up for the car, the engine, the whole team.”

The team still has some work to do, but feels good about getting the season underway even though it is still winter.

“We are in good shape for the shape we are in. We are just about finished putting the car we took to Florida back together, the new car and engine combination worked well and all we need is some decent weather,” concluded Bryant.

Both Donald and Tommy will be racing Saturday in the WoO event at Smoky Mountain. The weather is forecast to be clear and cool.
