MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 22) Billy and the BMS team had a good car at the Dirt Track World Championship, but when the lift bar bracket on the rear end broke causing the drive shaft to come out during the heat race, the good car was no more.
“We started fourth in our heat and Billy said he felt something funny when he pulled onto the track,” David Bryant said. “Everything can and will break, but we never had problems with the bracket before and never really worried about it. We will be keeping a close eye on it now.”
This was the first time in nine races that Billy and BMS had finished out of the top two.
The BMS team will be out in force with both Billy and Tommy racing in this weekend Inaugural Tennessee State Championship at Smoky Mountain Speedway. The two day event is sanctioned by the Southern All Stars and will pay $2,000 to win on Friday night and $10,000 to win on Saturday night.
