The 2006 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) trade show is history, but the results from Larry and Tommy’s two days of walking the 1,000,000 square ft of exhibitor space in the Orange County Convention Center will have a tremendous affect on Blount Motorsports in 2007 and beyond.
Contacts and alliances that were made at last years PRI Show were reinforced and a number of new contacts with manufacturers and distributors were made this year.
“After going to the show last year we had a better idea of what to expect this year and consequently we were better prepared,” said Larry. “We took a new Blount Motorsports information package with us and were able to show the different manufacturers and vendors the quality of our operation. We were well received by everyone and through the contacts we made will be able to improve the team and be more competitive.”
Tommy, who has worked with many of the different companies for years, renewed old acquaintances and did more than his share of bench racing while seeing a number of new products.
“You see people at PRI you haven’t seen in years and you get to find out about all the new stuff. If there is a new product or a new deal in racing you will see it at the show,” grinned Tommy.
The duo spent Friday night at East Bay Raceway in Tampa watching the qualifying heats for Saturday’s $10,000 to win Storm Pay Crate Late Model event.
Stay tuned, as you will be seeing the results of this trip on the sponsor page and the car in the next couple of months.
