MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 8) Although they are the 2021 Southern Nationals Champions, BMS and Donald hadn’t visited victory lane for a year until they won at Boyd’s Speedway on Friday night.

“One word, relief, covers it when we won at Boyd’s Friday night,” said Donald. “So many things have or have not happen since the last win a year ago it really felt good to win.”

Although they won the 2021 Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Championship winning the Iron-Man event at Boyd’s on Friday night ended a winless year. To follow it up with a runner up finish at Mountain View didn’t hurt either.

“We had a good car both nights and things just seemed to fit better, to work better,” said David. “It isn’t like we set the world on fire, but we beat some cars that had been beating us and we were looking forward to Tazwell on Sunday night, but the rain ended that.”

David will be making a trip to Rocket this week. He will be dropping off the old new car and picking up a new, new car.

“There is still plenty of season remaining with a number of series races in the area. After all of our deals this year it would be nice to finish this year on a positive roll,” concluded David.

They will finish up September with the Castrol event at 411 on the 23rd, SAS at Smoky Mountain the 25th.
