MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Mar. 5) Casey posted a sixth place finish in the SAS March Madness event at Cherokee Speedway on Saturday afternoon. Roberts qualified fourth in the second group, finished second in the fourth heat and started eighth on the grid.

For Casey it was his sixth event behind the wheel of the Blount Motorsports Rocket and things are starting to come together as he and the team dot the i’s and cross the t’s.

“The car ran good, we picked up a bunch of laps and finished the race. We not only had a good run, but we have been making good progress as a team and we were able to add to that,” said Casey.

When the green flag dropped Roberts who started eighth lost a spot dropping back to ninth. In the next 59 laps he would pass two cars and had one car ahead of him drop out to finish sixth.

“There wasn’t a lot of passing going on, but that is day time dirt track racing,” said David “We were good and we are real close to having what Casey likes and what the car likes figured out. All we need is to build some laps, tune the setups and we will be in good shape.”

Next up for BMS and Roberts is the WoO sanctioned Tennessee Tip Off Classic at Smoky Mountain Speedway on Friday and Saturday.
