MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 9) For Blount Motorsports drivers Casey and Tommy the SAS Mountain Fall Classic was anything, but what they had envisioned as they returned to their home track.

Casey qualified second and Tommy eighth in the second group. Casey finished second and Tommy third in the second heat with Casey starting seventh and Tommy11th in the feature. In the feature Casey finished where he started in seventh place. Tommy dropped back as far as 15th and came back through the field to finish eighth.

“It was an off night for sure. We struggled and basically we just were not much good all night long,” said David. “It is always hectic at Smoky Mountain and tonight wasn’t any different. When you are racing at your home track you have high expectations and you want to have a good showing. When things don’t come together like they should it is even harder to take.”

As the season winds down the next race for Casey and the Blount Motorsports team will be the SNBS race on October 20th at Senoia Raceway, the SNBS race at Blue Ridge on the 27th and finish up at the World Finals in Charlotte the first weekend in November.
