MARYVILLE, Tenn. (June 23) Donald had a rough two nights during the WoO double header at Volunteer Speedway this past weekend. On Friday night the car stayed tight all night. On Saturday night the car was better than Friday night in hot laps, but ended up in the wall hard during qualifying.

Friday night the car was tight in qualifying and stayed tight all night long. McIntosh started 17th and finished 14th in the feature.

“We were tight all night and we were not aggressive enough on the changes we were making to loosen the car up to where it needed to be,” said David “We have been struggling lately. We know what some of our problems are and we will get it going in the right direction directly.”

On Saturday night they got the car loosened up and it felt a whole lot better in hot laps. The track was slick and the fast way around was the top groove. In qualifying McIntosh got into the greasy stuff and then the wall.

“Car felt good and the driver was trying too hard,” said Donald. “Got into the greasy stuff up top and we went into the wall hard. One good thing you can say about the weekend is we cured our overheating problem, but now we need to head to Rocket and get a front clip.”

This Friday night Donald and the boys will head to 411 Motor Speedway for the Lucas Oil Tennessee Action Track 50.
