MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 16) Although another flat took some of the luster off the weekend of racing it was still a solid weekend for Donald McIntosh and the Blount Motorsports Team.

Friday night for the Fall Nationals Tarheel 50 at Tri-County Race Track going out first in qualifying put them in the B Main where McIntosh finished second for a ninth place starting spot in the feature.

“We started ninth and came right up to third. Car was good and we thought we really had something, but the car tighten up and we ended up third,” said David. “When the race was over we found we had another flat. There was two pounds of air in the right rear.”

The fourth place finish added to their lead in the Fall Nationals Championship point lead. They lead David Payne by 48 points going into the season finale at 311 Motor Speedway.

Saturday night it was off to Dixie Speedway for the Lucas Oil Dixie Shootout where after finishing second in the fourth heat they started eighth in the feature.

“We didn’t qualify that well, but made some changes and went forward and ran second in the heat,” said Donald. “We made a couple of changes for the feature and went backwards ending up too tight.”

Next on the schedule is the Fall Nationals season finale at 311 Motor Speedway on October 26. The final race of the season for BMS will be the Fourth Annual Leftovers Race on November 30.
