After qualifying 13.553, mid-pack Tommy lined up sixth in the third heat and finished fifth. They took the top four from the heat which put starting third in the consi. A second lap spin put him to the rear of the  consi and out of the race.

“We did not make the race but we fell pretty good about the car and feel that if we would have had a chance to practice we would have had a better shot at making the race,” said BMS’s Larry Garner. “We are looking forward to the Thunder opener at North Georgia.”
