Bulls Gap, Tennessee (September 22nd, 2008) The Tennessee Fall Brawl at Volunteer Speedway this weekend will now be a $5,000 to win, $350 to start, fifty lap event and will run on Saturday night September 27TH.
Citing a struggling economy and gas prices still averaging more than $3.50 per gallon throughout the region, track promoters Joe and Phyllis Loven were faced with either cancelling the show all together or reducing the event to a one day $5,000 to win race as it would not be feasible for most fans to attend each night for a two day $10,000 to win format.
The Sunoco Shoot-Out will also run as scheduled so fans will be treated to a full slate of Powermaster Time Trials, Sunoco Twin Dashes, West Haven B-Mains, The Advance Auto Parts A-Main and the twelve car, twelve lap, $1,200 to win Shoot-Out. A full slate of local racing action will also be on the schedule.
Race fans can log onto the track’s website for gate times and ticket prices at www.VolunteerSpeedway.com. We will also be updating the information on the series website at http://www.advanceautopartsthundersereies.com />
