MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Aug 11) Tommy and the BMS team continued their winning ways this weekend. On Friday the team headed to Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, GA for the Advance Thunder race and on Saturday to the Mountain Raceway Park for a feature. When the smoke had cleared and the checkered flags had fallen Tommy had led all 65 feature laps he had raced and had parked his Custom Race Engines

ocket Chassis in victory lane.

On Friday at the Advance Thunder event Kerr and the team set fast time, won the fast heat, started on the pole and led every lap for a clean sweep of the night’s events.

“Gary (crew chief Gary Winger) B. J. (Hillman) and I have all gotten on the same page and it really shows,” said Tommy. “At Boyd’s we unloaded fast and when we put the car back in the trailer it was still fast.”

On Saturday night they headed to their home track, Mountain Raceway Park in Maryville. Although a tire going down knocked him out of hot laps, he went out and set fast time. After starting on the pole he led all 25 laps to win the feature.

“It is really nice to see all the effort and hard work that you put into a race team come together,” said team owner Larry Garner. “Winning races is like snow, you never know how much your are going to get or how long it is going to last. Right now we are very happy to be where we are, doing what we are doing. And we plan to keep on doing every thing we can to continue this run.”

This next weekend Tommy and the team head to Lavonia Speedway in Georgia on Friday night for an Advance Thunder event. On Saturday night they move to Tri-County Race Track in North Carolina for the second Advance Thunder race of the weekend.
