MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 29) Tommy and the BlountMotorsports team scored their fifth Advance Thunder Series win Sunday afternoonat Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn.

Tommy, driving the Blount Excavating/Explosive SpecialistsMonte Carlo, qualified and started third for the Advance Thunder Fall Brawl. Inthe first 10 laps of the feature Tommy would make short work of fast qualifierChad Ogle and outside front row starter Vic Hill to take the lead. Once in thelead he would be in the best position to weather a rash of yellow flags. Oneach restart he would take a comfortable lead as the pack thinned behind him.After the last caution flag flew Tommy had everything his own way and flashedunder the checkered flag a full straightaway in front of second place finisherRandy Weaver.

“The BMS crew keeps putting a winning race car under me,”grinned Tommy. “It didn’t make any difference if the sun was out or if it wasgetting dark the car would go anywhere and do anything I wanted it to do.

Since Gary Winger came on board the team has really cometogether. Larry and Steve Garner give us what we need and Gary, B.J. Hillman,Kevin Roulette and Will Bobo put together a winning race car. I’m the luckyone, I get to drive it.”

This week Tommy and the BMS crew will head to Tri-County RaceTrack on Thursday night for Ray Cook’s Tarheel 50. On Friday night they will beat Rome Speedway for the Lucas Rome Rumble and on Saturday night they will racethe Lucas Shootout at Dixie Speedway.
