MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 16) In the last two weekends Tommy Kerr and the BMS team has visited four race tracks, raced in four races and visited victory lane four times. Three of the four wins were Advance Thunder Series events. The first was at Boyd’s Speedway, the second Lavonia Speedway and the last was at Tri-County Race Track Saturday night.

Saturday night Kerr qualified the Blount Excavating/Explosive Specialists, won the fast dash and led every lap to win the $4,000 to win 40-lap feature.

“We have had a good car, everyone on the team is on the same page and things have gone our way. Hopefully we will be able to keep it up,” said Tommy in victory lane after winning his fourth straight race.

Although he dominated the event it was not an easy win as he had to hold off a determined local hot shoe Jamie Oliver and rain for the last nine laps of the caution plagued event.

“Track was slick and there were a lot of cautions. Oliver could challenge me on the restarts and there were plenty of those. We were able to get away from him after a lap or two and then another caution would come out,” continued Tommy. “It was sprinkling for the last nine laps and I was using a tear off every lap, but they got all 40 laps in.”

Next up the team will be at Volunteer Speedway for the WoO Scorcher 100. They will practice on Tuesday night and race Wednesday and Thursday nights.
