MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 20) The battle for the Advance Thunder Series Championship is going right down to the wire. Tommy and the BMS team are tied for the point lead with Rick Rogers and two time series champion Anthony White is a mere 39 points back of the lead duo with three races remaining.

“To race all year long and come down to the last three race with the top two tied and the third one just 39 points out gives you an idea how competitive this series is,” said Kerr. “It is an exciting deal for us as it is for the other two and I know the fans are fired up. This is what racing is all about.”

The last three races at Wartburg Speedway, Cleveland Speedway and Mountain Raceway Park will be held in a span of eight days with the champion being crowned after the September 29th finale at The Mountain.

“I know the fans and the series would like it to go down to the last lap of the last race.  While the drivers involved would like to see it decided this Friday night at Wartburg,” grinned Kerr. “I have raced against these guys at these tracks for years and I would put my money on not knowing who the champion will be until the checkered flag falls at The Mountain.”
