MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 6) Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne will be behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang Dirt Late Model from Blount Motorsports for the 10th Annual Scorcher at Volunteer Speedway on Thursday August 22.

Bayne has leased a 2013 Ford Mustang, a Rocket Chassis with Vic Hill power under the hood, to run the Scorcher next Thursday. The car will be a yellow number 6 with sponsorship from Benore Logistics Inc.

“We have worked with Trevor before and he came to us wanting to lease a car so he could run the Scorcher. We have been and will be working closely with Trevor on the deal and have a good race car for him to drive,” said David Bryant who will crew chief the car.

Coming off a SAS win at Volunteer two weeks ago, Billy will be in his familiar Stowers Cat, Vic Hill powered #201 Rocket as he attempts to make it back-to-back Scorcher wins.

BMS races Rocket chassis with power from Vic Hill Racing Engines, which uses Dyer’s Top Rods, Storie Manifolds, Driven Racing Oil and VP Race Fuels. Drive train components are from Quarter Master, the shocks are Öhlins, chassis and suspension components from TWM and springs from Hyperco. Parts and pieces are from J.T. Kerr Racing Equipment and tires from Hoosier Racing Tires.
