MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 28) With the Southern Nationals grind over and the motor problems taken care of Billy Ogle Jr. and the Blount Motorsports Team are shaking their heads over a seventh place finish in the Scorcher and a 10th at Ponderosa Speedway.

In the Lucas Oil Scorcher at Volunteer Speedway Ogle started 12th, ran as high as 5th and finished seventh. The next night at Ponderosa Speedway in the $10,001 to win Ultimate event he started 12th and finished 10th.

“Last year we were frustrated with all the seconds place finishes we had so you know how frustrated we are now that we are running nowhere near that well. Last years string of second place finishes would be a welcomed improvement right now,” said David Bryant.

In the last 10 races the team has recorded three top five finishes with the last win at Volunteer Speedway on July 12th.

“We are working at getting the program back to where it should be. If there was one thing you could put your finger on, fix and be back on track it would be an easy fix, but its not one thing, continued Bryant. “We are going to keep working at it until we get it straightened out and hopefully that will be sooner than later.”

Just to add a little more incentive to get things back on track the team is headed to Eldora Speedway next week for the World 100.
