Maryville, Tenn. (Mar. 22) Tommy packed up and headed for the Southern All Star twin bill this weekend at Boyd’s and Cleveland Speedways and came away with a tenth and an eighth place finish for his efforts.

On Friday night at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Ga. he qualified 16th out of the 40 cars on hand for the Southern All Star Cabin Fever 40, ran second in the B-Main and started 16th in the feature. When the checkered flag fell he crossed the line in 10th.

On Saturday night the scene shifted to Cleveland Speedway for the 15th running of the SAS Shamrock 60. Tommy would again qualify mid-pack, 21st out of the 37 cars that took time. He started sixth in the second heat and finished third which put him starting tenth in the feature. After the 60 laps were over he crossed the line in eighth.

“There was not a whole lot of passing going on Friday or Saturday night, but other than not qualifying all that well, we are pleased with the weekend,” said Tommy. “We ran over 120 laps on two tough race tracks and never put a scratch on the car.

I want to thank Tony Martin, my son Jacob and everyone else that helped out over the weekend.”

With it being early in the season with a limited number of races what the team will be doing next weekend is still up in the air. As soon as a decision is made the information will be posted on the web site.
