MARYVILLE, Tenn (Oct. 17) The Twin Topless SRRS events at Boyd’s and Smoky Mountain Speedways saw the Blount Motorsports Team come away with a win, a third, fourth and tenth place finishes.
On Friday night at Boyd’s Speedway Billy Ogle Jr. took his second win of the season and his career first SRRS win on the Ringgold, GA clay oval. Teammate Tommy Kerr scored a tenth place finish. On Saturday night at Smoky Mountain Speedway Ogle would finish third with Kerr right on his bumper for fourth.
“After a lot of frustration earlier in the season we have finally gotten to where we have a good baseline and the cars are more consistent,” said Larry Garner. “We are running pretty good and this bodes well for the rest of the season.”
The team will take this weekend off and will be back in action at Magnolia Motor Speedway for the Cotton Pickin’ 100 on October 28th and 29th.
